WHAT a MAJORITY of PREACHERS WILL NOT PREACH ON!!
An article in YOUR CHURCH Magazine reports that a recent survey shows that 55% of Pastors in America identify one or more of the following topics as subjects they would not preach at all or only sparingly, because the Sermon could negatively affect their hearers’ willingness to attend church in the future. (August 10, 2011)
Among them are:
1. Politics – 38%
2. Homosexuality – 23%
3. Abortion – 18%
4. Same-Sex Marriage – 17%
5. War – 17%
6. Women’s role in the church and home – 13%
7. The Doctrine of Election – 13%
8. H-E-L-L – 7%
9. Money – 3%
It is more than interesting to notice the connection between our Problems in America with the subjects a majority of preachers have a problem preaching on.
* ACTS 20:26-32
“If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the Truth of God except precisely that little point which the world and the Devil are at the moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ. Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved, and to be steady on all the battlefield besides is merely flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point.”

We all need to stand together and not back away from subjects/issues that society today takes as being the norm and OK. Our Bible is very clear on so on every subject and we must decrease so that Jesus can increase in our Lives. We are supposed to be dead and not worry about what the world thinks about us. It is God who gives and can take away and use anyone to change the world around him. We must beleive what Jesus said and act on it, no matter what.
Please never back down from what you are doing, people in the world are going to hell becasue we are too fearful and concerned about what is in it for us instead of sharing the thruth in love. It is in love becuase why would I set myself up as a target. Becyuase I love people and want to see as many of them in heaven as I can.
Yours In Christ
