“RIGHTEOUSNESS EXALTETH A NATION…” [PROVERBS 14:34]

America’s Survival

"When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourm." Proverbs 29:2
 RIGHTEOUSNESS EXALTETH A NATION…” [PROVERBS 14:34]

 INTRODUCTION:

These are discouraging and difficult days in America for many people. The cause for many of our discouragements and difficulties can be traced right back to the leadership we have elected to represent us. They have betrayed their trust with the people by being self-serving politicians instead of Statesmen that have our Nation’s best at heart.

The Bible confirms this to be the case in [PROVERBS 29:2]:

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” [Proverbs 29:2]

The leadership we have in Washington hardly reflects the America we once knew. Who would have thought 30 or 40 years ago that we would have PERVERTS like Barney Frank and others honored, by being elected to Congress, and who would have imagined that there would be so many would defend them and their lifestyle. We are a SICK NATION in
desperate need of the Healing Powers of a God-Sent Revival. The Lord will never honor and continue to bless a Nation who honors the wicked by electing them to represent us. We must either choose to Return to the Lord and follow His Word as our guide, or continue to follow the road of destruction that we are on.

Character in our leaders (in their Private Life as well as their Public Life, much of their work on behalf of the public is done in private.) does matter. Many, if not all of the problems we face as a nation can be traced right back to the lack of morality and righteousness in our leadership.

For example, the financial mess we face as a nation can be  traced to the greed and selfishness of those that are in power. To get their votes, Politicians will promise benefits and entitlements to those among us who are unwilling to work and be productive and responsible citizens. Then when in power, they Tax hard working Americans to payoff these voters with welfare and entitlements, and every election cycle, the politicians again make more and bigger promises, and if re-elected then they have to raise more taxes to pay off a new batch of bribes, and on and on it has gone for decades, until there are more promises than money to pay them off.

No Nation can survive this kind of foolishness forever. We see much of the world in chaos over this very issue. Nations like Greece and others have gone broke paying off the bribes that politicians call entitlements, now the bank is empty and these people have taken to the streets demanding their “Promised Entitlements.” They care little for their Nation, they just want what was promised to them, and they are willing to go to the streets a throw their nation into anarchy, if that is what it takes to force lawmakers to make good on their promises. The problem is, the bank is empty and there is no more money left for them to rob  from one and give to the other.

That is what the future for America is unless we have a Heart-Changing Revival. A Revival that changes selfish and loveless hearts into those who are willing to love and sacrifice for others as Jesus did for them. A Revival that makes our minds and hearts one with Jesus, melting the hardened divisions we see among us that is certain to lead us into another civil war within our Nation. A conflict that will once again fill or land with bloodshed and destruction.

We are soon to repeat some of the darkest times in our Nation’s history if we fail to see a
Revival within the Lord’s Church. America’s future lies in the hands of the Lord’s people. The Lord will deal with America according to spiritual state of His Church. If the Church is as worldly and wicked as the world around us, what hope is there for the Nation to turn from its wicked ways? The Lord’s only option will be judgment, to purge His Church and restore us to the state of Holiness that the Lord demands from His people to walk with Him, to glorify Him, and to be used by Him.

We cannot take hope and comfort that leaders of such low character will be restrained by the laws and Constitution of our land. When the unrighteous hold Power, they have no respect for our laws and the Constitution. It is too binding upon them, so they ignore it, and there is no one to hold them accountable but the voter at the ballot box. The same voters that have already sold them their votes, and are looking once again to sell it to the politician that is willing to make the highest bid for it.

So we have a Nation where the people and their politicians are both selfish thieves. I believe any thinking person can see where our Nation is headed; as a matter of fact we are there. We look around and it is clear where such unrighteous people and politicians have taken our nation, to the very verge of destruction.

“A Republic (America) Doesn’t Survive Merely Because It Is A Nation of Laws, It Survives By Being A Nation Whose People And Leaders Are Righteous People, People Who Have Respect For Its Laws and Its Constitution. When Evil Men Are In Power They Become A Law Unto Themselves And Our Laws And Constitution Are Subverted.” ~Jack Woodard

Americans must once again choose to put our Country’s welfare above our selfish interests if we are to survive!!

To Avoid Ruin America Must Return To Demanding Righteousness From Ourselves And From Our Leadership!”    (Psalms 9:17; 33:12)

“The time has come that Christians must vote for honest man and take consistent ground in politics or the Lord will curse them… Christians  have been exceedingly guilty in this matter. But the time has come when they must act differently… Christians seem to act as if they thought God did not see what they do in politics. But I tell you He does see it – and He will bless or curse this nation according to the course the [Christians] take [ in politics].”

“Governments, like clocks, go from the motion men give them; and as governments are made by men, so by them they are ruined too. Wherefore governments rather depend upon men than men upon governments. Let men be good and the government cannot be badBut if men be bad, let the government be never so good, they will endeavor to warp and soil it to their turn… [T]hough good laws do well, good men do better; for good laws may want [lack] good men and be abolished or invaded by ill men; but good men will never want good laws nor suffer [allow] ill ones.”

“A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtue then will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader.”
